Ingredients

Instructions
1. Make the Strawberry Topping
Toss sliced strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla. Let sit 10 minutes to release juices.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients
Whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Make the Batter
Pour wet ingredients into dry and gently mix until just combined. A few lumps are fine.
5. Heat the Waffle Iron
Preheat and lightly grease the waffle iron.
6. Cook the Waffles
Pour batter into the center (about ¾–1 cup). Cook 3–5 minutes, until steam stops and waffles are golden and crisp.
7. Serve
Top waffles with strawberries and juices. Add butter, maple syrup, and powdered sugar if desired.
