  • Author: Amy
  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Description

Looking for a no-bake Easter treat that’s fun, festive, and kid-approved? These Bunny Oreo Balls are a delightful blend of crushed cookies and cream cheese, dipped in chocolate and decorated like adorable bunnies. Perfect for spring parties, Easter baskets, or a creative afternoon in the kitchen!

Ingredients

Scale

For the bunny Oreo balls:

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) of Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • Pink candy melts for decoration
  • Mini marshmallows for bunny tails
  • Edible eyes
  • Pink sprinkles or sanding sugar for bunny noses

Substitution options:

  • Use gluten-free cookies for a gluten-free version
  • Opt for dairy-free cream cheese and chocolate for a vegan alternative
  • Experiment with different Oreo flavors for unique taste variations

Instructions

  • Place the Oreo cookies in a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin until finely ground. (This step is great for kids to help with!)
  • Mix the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese together in a large bowl until well combined. Mix until fully blended and smooth.
  • Shape and Chill:
  • Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate the tray for a minimum of 1 hour, or until the balls are firm and set.
  • Melt the Chocolate:
  • Gently melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  • Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, then return to the baking sheet.
  • Decorate with bunny ears, sprinkles, or candy eyes if desired.
  • Chill again until the chocolate is fully set.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Vegan Tip: Use vegan cream cheese and dairy-free chocolate to make these completely plant-based.

Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

Avoid Greasiness: Don’t overmix the cream cheese and cookies or the mixture may become too oily.

Presentation Tip: Decorate just before serving for the freshest look.
